Youth Art Studio
with Ms. Emily & Mr. Kenny

Ages: 6 - 11
Description: In this two-hour studio class lead by local community artists, students will learn the following
First Half, Lead by Ms. Emily Kobert - Each week, learn how to draw something new in this step-by-step guided drawing course. This class is designed to teach elementary school-aged children how to quickly sketch and develop their drawing skills.
Second Half, Lead by Mr. Kenny Clemons - Each week, learn how to paint, build sculptures, and develop foundational installation art skills.
Supplies: will be included onsite during class instruction.
Format: This class will be an in-person class. Masks are recommended but not required. The max capacity for this class is 12 participants.
Cost of class: This class costs $18 ($3 per week for 6 weeks).
Scholarships are available! We have scholarships available for every class. Closure Policy: Jubilee Arts will be closed during all major holidays and Baltimore City Public School closures (Thanksgiving, Spring Break, etc.) except Summer Break. In the event of inclement weather or other local emergencies, we follow Baltimore City Public Schools for closure procedures. Make-up classes will only be held at the discretion of the instructor.
Class Cancelation Policy: If class enrollment is below 50% (less than 5) after the first two weeks, the class will be canceled. If your class is canceled after the first two weeks, please contact us to register for the next session.
End-of-Session Celebration: All participants will present their final projects at our celebration, Saturday, November 1st, at 6:00 PM.

Drumming
with Raymond Spence

Ages: 6 - 11
Description: Students will experience an intro to percussion and music theory and will gain a knowledge of utilizing a drum set. A drum set will be available, but we will explore an array of different percussion instruments.

Line Dance

Description: This choreographed dance program provides opportunities for adult men and women to learn the latest line dances while promoting health and wellness.

Description: Creative Crafts will invite students into a world of small crafts, many made of inexpensive materials and using household objects. Students will experiment with collage and assemblage, folk art techniques, and other fun projects.

Sewing
with Kehinde Applewhite

Description: This multi-skill level sewing circle facilitated by Kehinde Applewhite is an intro to sewing and fabric collage. Activities are meant to teach and inspire through the process of sewing and collage.
Supplies: These will be included onsite during class instruction; however, if you have your own sewing machine/supplies, bringing them is highly recommended.

Senior Clay

Description: Open to older adults of all levels, from inexperienced to accomplished ceramic artists. Students will explore the possibilities and limitations of traditional and non-traditional hand-building techniques of creating clay. Many creations will be of the student’s choice. Craftsmanship will be emphasized throughout the creative process.
