Sewing
with Iqrama Muhammad

Description: This is a Beginner Sewing class.
Supplies: will be included onsite during class instruction.
Format: This class will be an in person class. The instructor will lead the class from the 2nd floor of our building. In-person participants will be required to wear a mask and to show proof of vaccination or a negative rapid test taken the day of each class. To accommodate social distancing guidelines the max capacity for this class is 10 in-person participants. If class is full you will be added to the waitlist and placed in the class once a seat opens.

Senior Clay

Description: Open to older adults of all levels, from inexperienced to accomplished ceramic artists. Students will explore the possibilities and limitations of traditional and non-traditional hand-building techniques of creating clay. Creations will be of student’s choice. Craftsmanship will be emphasized throughout the creative process.

Format: This class will be in-person. Draw Along I

Description: Each week learn how to draw something new in this step-by-step instruction time to teach elementary school-aged children how to quickly sketch.

Candle Making

Description: This is a featured class from our How to Take Care Series in which students will learn how to make different types of candles, that infuse an array of different scents and colors.
There is no better time like the present to cozy up and try your hand at mastering the art of candle-making. Candles add warmth, scent and ambiance to any space and whether you're looking to save money on puchasing candles, want to be hands-on with a new hobby or are in need of a unique gift for family and friends. In this class you'll get a whiff of what candle-making is all about!
Attention: If you have sensitivity to smells and fragrances and are uncomfortable in those type on environments, this class may not be for you.

Adult Clay

Description: Claywork is one of the most grounding forms of artistry. Learn the basics of hand-building in this 6-week class.

Comic Drawing

Description: Participants will learn how to use digital art software and character creation in the Comic Drawing class. The instructor will demonstrate how to utilize the art program.

Contemporary Dance (ages 6-11)

Description: Students will learn the basic vocabulary and techniques of Ballet and contemporary dance through dance games and songs.
Attire: Pink leotard with brown or beige tights and shoes (see here for descriptions and shopping recommendations)

Yoga for Beginners
with Jasmyne Brawner

Description: Students will learn to incorporate breathing, stretching and mindfulness. This class is designed as an introduction to the practice of yoga asana.
- This class is slower paced and focused on developing clear and safe alignment in foundational poses.
- Come learn play and maybe even break a sweat in a supportive and safe environment.
- ALL BODIES ARE WELCOMED HERE!
- Lead and directed by certified Yoga Instructor Jasmyne Brawner also known as With the Flow.
Attire: Comfortable clothing, leggings, sweatpants, t-shirts, tank tops and masks!
