Our Classes

Creative Movement (ages 3-7)

Calendar Jan 7, 2026 at 5 pm, runs for 6 weeks

Ages: 3 - 7

Description: Introduction to the fundamentals of movement and rhythm through creative exploration. Students will develop coordination, musicality, and confidence through imaginative exercises, dance games, and other interactive activities. The class fosters self-expression and a love of dance in a fun, supportive environment.

Attire: OPTION1 - black leotard, skin-toned tights, pink or skin-toned ballet shoes. OPTION 2 - white t-shirt, black leggings/pants/tights, pink or skin-toned ballet shoes.

Format: This class will be an in-person class.  Masks are recommended but not required.  The max capacity for this class is 15 participants. 

Cost of class: This class costs $18 ($3 per week for 6 weeks). 

Scholarships are available!  We have scholarships available for every class. If you are unable to pay the class fee, please email: director@jubileeartsbaltimore.org to request a full or 50% off scholarship. We want EVERYONE to enjoy a class at Jubilee Arts, so reach out, and we will do our best to accommodate.

Standard of Procedure for Nonpayment: If you have not confirmed a method of payment (e.g. cash, card, check, agreed-upon plan for payment, scholarship request, etc.) by the second week of class, you/your student will not be allowed to return to class until a method of payment is secured.  Please direct all questions or concerns to director@jubileeartsbaltimore.org

Closure Policy: Jubilee Arts will be closed during all major holidays and Baltimore City Public School closures (Thanksgiving, Spring Break, etc.) except Summer Break.  In the event of inclement weather or other local emergencies, we follow Baltimore City Public Schools for closure procedures.  Make-up classes will only be held at the discretion of the instructor.

Class Cancelation Policy: If class enrollment is below 50% (less than 5) after the first two weeks, the class will be canceled.  If your class is canceled after the first two weeks, please contact us to register for the next session.

End-of-Session Celebration: All participants will present their final projects at our celebration, Friday, February 13th, at 6:00 PM.

Adult Clay

Description: Claywork is one of the most grounding forms of artistry. Learn the basics of hand-building in this 6-week class. 

Supplies: These will be included on-site during class instruction.  

Format: This class will be an in-person class.  Masks are recommended but not required.  The max capacity for this class is 12 participants. 

Cost of class: This class costs $36 ($6 per week for 6 weeks).

Full Course

Poetry Lab

Free

with Keyma Flight

Calendar Jan 8, 2026 at 4 pm, runs for 6 weeks

Ages: 11 - 14

Description: Led by DewMore Baltimore Teaching Artist, Keyma Flight, this free, 6-week beginner-friendly poetry class invites youth ages 11–14 to find their voice and express themselves through words. Each week, students will build on their skills with creative writing exercises that explore rhyming, rhythm, and literacy in fun and engaging ways. This class provides a safe space for young writers to express themselves, connect with peers, and discover the power of their own voice.

Students will use themes to inspire their writing and prepare for a student-led open mic during our end-of-session showcase, where participants will share their original work and celebrate their growth together.

Cost of class: This class is free! No payment necessary.

Secondhand Studio

Ages: 10 - 14

Description: Are you interested in how to make art with what’s available in the world around you? Secondhand studio is a youth course in which students will explore art expression through everyday, accessible materials. Through our art-making we will gain a better understanding of what it means to be an artist. No experience is necessary, come ready to get crafty!
